Sarah Tobhi Motha

Sarah Motha holds a Master in  International Law from Wits University, founder of Umphakatsi Peace Ecovillage and CEO for the Civil Society Media Africa. She is a human rights defender and a traditional doctor with interest in ecofeminism, indigenous knowledge systems,  ecological justice and eco-therapeutic modalities to deal with mental health.

She has worked for organizations such as Amnesty International, Wits University. European Union,  and Foundation for Human Rights. She is an ambassador for the Global Ecovillage Network in Africa, Strategy Manager for Black Womxn Caucus and Acting Director for Anti Corruption Trust Southern Africa (Pretoria Office). She  appears in various public media platforms and has facilitated more than 300 sessions for capacity building and advocacy in various human rights topics. Her work has been presented and published internationally
