Arnold Tsunga who is a lawyer is the current Director of the Africa Regional Programme of the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ).

Before joining the ICJ, he was the Executive Director of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) as well as the acting Executive Secretary of the Law Society of Zimbabwe (LSZ) and the National Chairperson of Zimbabwe Human Rights Association (ZimRights).

He served as a Humphrey Fellow at the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.

Adv. Michael Majuru

Advocate Majuruhas been a Judge of the Administrative Court of Zimbabwe prior to which he had held senior positions within the criminal andcivil divisions of the Attorney-General’s Office (Zimbabwe) from which positions he practiced in the highest Courts of the country in addition to being a member to several key national committees for and on behalf of the Attorney-General

In addition, he has practiced with the Advocates’ Chambers (2014-15). Currently privately consults in specialised areas of the law such as: constitutional law, constitutional interpretation, human rights, gender equality, criminal law, criminal procedure etc.

He is religiously committed to fighting against the scourge of corruption which he is of the firm and unalterable conviction lies at the few topmost ills bedevilling Zimbabwe

Obert Chinhamois

Obert Chinhamo is the Regional Director of the Anti-Corruption Trust of Southern Africa. Previously, he was a Programme Manager in the United Nations where he served in countries, such as Uganda, Ethiopia and Namibia.

Mr. Chinhamo also served in different capacities in non-governmental organisations such as the Legal Resources Foundation (LRF), the Zimbabwe Human Rights Association (ZimRights), and Amnesty International Zimbabwe.

Furthermore, Mr. Chinhamo is a Board member of organisations such as the Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice Trust, as well as the Kwekwe Business Association of the Small to Medium Enterprises Trust. Chinhamo is the recipient of the 2014 Community Human Rights Defenders Award as well as the 2015 Giraffe Heroes Award.

Elizabeth Mangenje

Before joining the International Commission of Jurists as Legal Adviser in July 2018, Elizabeth was a project lawyer at Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights. She has also worked as a legal researcher for various independent legal and political consultants.

Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Zimbabwe. She was awarded the prestigious Chevening scholarship in 2016 and went on to study for a masters in the United Kingdom. She holds a masters of law in International Human Rights Law (Economic Relations), from the University of Essex (2017, with Distinction).

She has experience in legal and policy research and analysis in various areas including health, disability rights and access to justice for minority groups. She is passionate about business and human rights and conducts a lot of research in this area.

International and domestic standards on responsible business mean nothing once the gatekeepers engage in corruption with impunity. Conducting responsible business means saying no to corruption at all levels and in all its forms.

Kucaca Phulu

Mr. Phulu is a renowned lawyer and member of the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights. He also seats in Boards of other organisations that include the Zimbabwe Human Rights Association.

Alouis Munyaradzi Chaumba

Alouis Munyaradzi Chaumbais the current Executive Director of the Development Education and Research Trust of Southern Africa (DERT-SA).

He was the Regional Coordinator of ACT Southern Africa from 2013 to 2018. He is the former National Director of the Catholic Commission for Peace and Justice in Zimbabwe (CCJPZ).

Teresa Pearl Mugadza

Teresa Pearl Mugadza is a lawyer and development practitioner who has worked in civil society and legal practice for more than 20 years in various capacities.

She has experience in governance issues including enhancing women’s participation in politics and decision making, policy development and formulation on issues that include human rights, women’s rights and social justice and has worked in strengthening civil society institutions through capacity building, governance support and evaluating programme interventions for efficiency and effectiveness.

She produced policy papers on various issues, publications on governance in general and women’s rights in particular. Teresa Mugadza is also the former Deputy Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission.

Getrude Chimange

Getrude is the Coordinator of the Justice and Peace Commission of the Dioceses of Mutare (Zimbabwe).

Board member of the Dennis Hurley Peace Institute. Her areas of competence include: poverty and peace issues.

David Chipiri Jamali

David Jamali worked with ZimRights as a Human Rights Defender in Zimbabwe for 8 years during the period 1994 –2002.

David was born and grew up in Zimbabwe’s high density suburb of Tafara in Harare. He is very passionate about Human Rights, Anti-Corruption, Economic and Social Development, Citizens Voice and Action and Accountability and Governance issues.

David Jamali’s special interest in Human Rights and Citizens Voice and Action is linking economic, social and cultural rights to broader transformational community development strategies so citizens can actively participate in civil and political rights.

David did Development studies in Canada at St Francis Xavier University’s Coady Institute, A course in Working with Conflict in the UK and Masters in International Development at RMIT University, Australia.

David worked with Oxfam Australia for 4 and half years in the International Programs Section holding various portfolios. He then worked for World Vision Australia in the International Programmes section for 8 and half years holding various positions assisting developing countries to design and manage long-term multi sector community transformational development programmes to assist communities to break the cycle of poverty.

David is a well-regarded International Development Consultant who is currently focusing on Results Based Management Systems, Institutional and Organisational Development.
